| Face validity |
The extent to which a measure appears to be valid to those being measured. |
| Focus group |
A form of qualitative research where groups of between 6-12 people participate in a discussion about the topic of interest. A moderator or facilitator ensures that the discussion runs smoothly and stays on topic. |
| Formative evaluation |
Research to inform of progress and improvement with particular programs (process and outcome). |
| Frequency |
The number and/or percentage of units (e.g. people) in different categories of the variable. |
| Frequency table |
A table that displays the number and/or percentage of units (e.g. people) in different categories of the variable. A summary that provides a count of how many times each variable value is represented in the sample. |
